Robert A. Cooper, “Bob” (35) of Dorothy passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at his home. Born in Somers Point, NJ Bob was one of three children. He was a graduate of Buena Regional High School and later worked as an electrician for Local 351. Robert will be remembered by all that knew him for his easy going and relaxed personality, and his big smile. His greatest accomplishment and most prized possession was his daughter Jourdynn Cooper. The two were inseparable and enjoyed traveling, shopping, listening to music, and being one another’s best friend. Bob is survived by his daughter (Jourdynn Cooper), parents (Allan Jr. and Janis Cooper), brother Allan Cooper III (Carrie), sister Shannon O’Brikis (Sean), two nieces and one nephew. Along with grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends deeply cared for Bob. Anita Domanico, of Mays Landing passed away on August 14, 2014. She was born in Glen Rogers, West Virginia on March 12, 1926. Predeceased by her husband Thomas Frank Domanico, her son Thomas Joseph Domanico, her mother Nicolina Ferrini Papini, her father Joseph Papini, and two brothers: Mario Papini and Frank Papini. She was survived by her children: Shirley von Rinteln and Nicholas Domanico and her grandchildren: Joseph, Victoria, Alexandra, Drew , TJ and Nicholas and one great grandchild, Naveen. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 20 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing. Estelle Patricia “Pat” Kline – 84, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully with loving family by her side. She was born January 10, 1930 in Atlantic City to George and Lydia (Cramer) Kline. Pat grew up in Brigantine, later residing in Bargaintown, Estell Manor and Mays Landing. Pat was a hard worker all of her life. She worked as a waitress, a bookkeeper, and owned Harbor Village Dry Cleaning. She enjoyed buying and selling at auctions, flea markets and yard sales. This petite, feisty lady took special pride in her family. She is survived by her children, Priscilla Gay (Gregory) Laubert, Warren H. (Linda) Dagrosa, Jr., and Patricia June (Garrett) Heath; grandchildren, Stephanie (Timothy) Wood, Danielle (Marc) Glogovsky, Matthew (Tara) Heath, Heather (Thomas) O’Neill, Priscilla Heath, Meredith Laubert and Nicholas Dagrosa; great grandchildren, Quinn, Gavin, Makayla, Kara, and Thomas; step-sons, Kenneth Cimadori and Gary Cimadori; ex-husband, Warren H. Dagrosa Sr., sister, Susan Ritchie, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pat was pre-deceased by brothers, Edward, Robert, and William Kline; sisters, Mae, Mary and June; and ex-husband Vincent Cimadori. Ronald W. Gaskill, Sr. of Mays Landing passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 6, 2014. Born November 29, 1947 in Somers Point he was raised in Ocean City, where he graduated from Ocean City High School in 1967, and has been a long-time resident of Mays landing. He served honorably in the US Army. He retired from Atlantic City Electric where he worked at the B.L. England Generating Station in the fuel handling department. In his leisure time he enjoyed riding his Harley, NASCAR and any motor sports, and most of all loved model trains. He enjoyed taking his nieces for train rides and letting them help operate the trains. He is survived by his long-time friend Tamara Lefebvre; brothers: Stephen A. Gaskill of Dallas, TX and Glen Gaskill of English Creek and his wife Barbara; grandchildren: Ashley, Rachel, and Justin Gaskill of Kershaw, SC; daughter-in-law Ann Shinn Gaskill of Kershaw, SC; his niece and nephew Allison Bailey from Dallas, TX and Stephen A. Gaskill, Jr. of Denton, TX. and nieces Amanda J. Gaskill of English Creek and Lauren V. Stieffenhofer of Enterprise, AL. He is predeceased by his parents William and Yvonne Gaskill and his son Ronald W. Harold Hines
Harold E. Hines, 76, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully at his home on September 12, 2014. Hal was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He served in the US Air Force from 1957-1961. After the service he worked at Lockheed Aircraft Service, JFK Airport, and later retired from the NYCTA after 22 years of service. In 1991 Hal moved with his family to Mays Landing where he proudly opened Goodeal Discount Transmissions with his son Gary. His legacy is his knowledge and fond memories that he has passed on to his family. Pop will always be remembered as a kind, wonderful, hardworking husband, father, grandpa, and friend, with a great sense of humor. He will sadly missed but never forgotten by his loving wife of 46 years Mary Ann (nee: Griebel), his son Gary and his wife Valentina, and his granddaughter Victoria. A celebration of Hal’s life will be shared on Tuesday, September 16th, from 10-11am, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 11am. Audrey Frances Woods “Weseal”, was born in Henderson, NC on January 25, 1954 to the late Frank K. Woods and Cora Woods. The family moved to Jersey City, NJ in 1969 where she attended high school. She graduated from Ferris High School. After high school she worked for the Hudson County Welfare Department until she moved to Atlantic City with her mother. Audrey worked for Caesars and Sands and ended her casino career at Harrah’s Casino once she fell ill and was unable to work any longer. Audrey was known for being a second mother to her nieces and nephews. Audrey was a sharp-tongue person; she could cut you up with her words if she had to! But all in all, she was a very nice and sweet person, always willing to help others. Audrey fell asleep in death on September 4, 2014 from a long battle of her illness. Audrey had one brother, three sisters, and a niece to fall asleep in death before her. She is survived by three brothers: Frank C. Woods (Charlotte, NC), Joel E. Woods (Morrisville, NC), Christopher N. Woods (Atlanta, GA); four sisters: Ernestine Henry (Quincy, FL), Pamela Jackman (Jersey City, NJ), Victoria Negron (Mays Landing, NJ) and Sharon Bradley (Galloway, NJ); and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was truly loved and will never be forgotten. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014, 2 PM, at Inlet Towers, 220 New Hampshire Ave., Atlantic City, NJ 08401.

Elizabeth R. Michel-Hampton, “Betty” (nee: Hermesman), 87, of Buena Vista Twp., passed away on August 14, 2014. Betty was born and raised in Camden and graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1944. She was the owner and operator of Hamp’s Lunch Shop of Cramer Hill from 1961-1977. Betty moved to Estell Manor in 1975 and worked for Wheaton Plastic of Mays Landing and later worked as a lunch lady for the Estell Manor Elementary School. She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, her sister, her caretakers from Holy Redeemer, and numerous other relatives and friends. Leonard (Lenny) Weissman- 81 years old Born in 1933 in Bronx, New York Resided in Egg Harbor Township at the time of his death, and passed away peacefully at home with close friends and his beloved wife Judith at his bedside, on Friday August 15th at 7 PM. Leonard was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and good friend to all who knew him. Interment and services will be held at the Veterans Cemetery of Atlantic County, Estelle Manor, New Jersey. Angela F. Esposito, 93, of Mays Landing, passed away on August 19, 2014. Angie was born and raised in North Jersey and moved to Millville in 1963. She worked for the Millville Public School for over 20 years. After her retirement she moved to Mays Landing in 1993. Angie enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her husband Anthony F. Esposito, her parents Raphael and Rosina Annicharico, and her six brothers. Angie will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her daughter Toni A. Schenker and her husband Don, her grandson Christopher Wagner and his wife Claire, and many nieces and nephews. Joan Silber (nee Coxey), 87, of Absecon passed away quietly at her home on September 18th. Joan was predeceased by her husband William Silber and her parents Edmund Coxey and Agnes Doran. Before moving to Absecon, Joan was a long time resident of Ventnor and Atlantic City. She worked as a waitress at Abe’s Oyster House and Andy’s Restaurant. Joan is survived by her children Linda McDevitt of Absecon, James McDevitt (Janice) of Gilbert, AZ and a stepson William McDevitt of Galloway. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Matthew McDevitt (Becky) of EHT, Erin McDevitt (Carlos Palma) of Ventnor, and their Mother Bettina Bachmann (Tom) of Florida, and her step grandsons, Jeremy Zellers (Cindy) of California and Christopher Zellers (Kate) of Indiana. Joan’s happiest times were spent with her great grandsons Matthew and Jack McDevitt and Donovan and Ryan Palma. She is also survived by her first husband James McDevitt of Galloway, and a special niece Grace Bates (Richard) of Hillsborough and several special cousins and many friends. Joan will be always remembered for her love of life and gift of laughter. Joan spent many happy times “catching the rays”, taking long walks, travelling, visiting the casinos and playing pinochle with her special girls. Joan’s family extends their gratitude to all the care givers and hospice workers who shared their special caring ways and devotion with her throughout her illness. Sanford “Sandy” Moss August 26, 1934 – July 5, 2014 Sandy was born on August 26, 1934 in Philadelphia, the only child of Max and Irma Moss. He was educated in the public schools of Philadelphia. He attended Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio, graduating in 1956 with as Bachelor of Arts degree and an English major. Following graduation he worked as assistant sports editor on the Wilmington, North Carolina newspaper, before being drafting into the U.S. Army where he served as an intelligence specialist. After being discharged in the summer of 1958, he enrolled in the University of Wisconsin in Madison to work on a master’s degree in journalism. Harold Kurtz and he were teaching assistants in the School of Journalism where they shared an office. They became life-long friends. While attending graduate school, he began working for the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison, a position he held until 1965. It was at the State Journal that he met Sharon Coady, a journalism graduate of Michigan State University, who worked for the paper while earning a master’s degree in history at the University of Wisconsin. They were married in 1965 in Cedar Springs, Michigan, Sharon’s hometown. Following their marriage, they moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where Sharon taught at Harrisburg Community College, and Sandy worked for the Harrisburg News Patriot. After three years, they quit work, went to Europe, bought a Volkswagen and spent a year traveling around Europe. When they returned to the U.S., they moved to Mays Landing, NJ. Sharon taught history at Atlantic Community College, and Sandy worked as publications and information director at the college. They built a house on Ninth Street in Mays Landing. Their marriage later ended in divorce. Sharon earned a doctorate at the University of Delaware and went on to a career in college administration. Sandy continued to live in the house on Ninth Street. Sandy worked in a variety of newspaper, communications and consulting positions in the U.S. and Great Britain. Sandy traveled all over the world, but his favorite destinations were France, England and rural Wisconsin. He made frequent trips with Harold and Grace Kurtz. In the last few years, Sandy’s health declined. He had a lengthy hospitalization and rehabilitation earlier this year. In June he was readmitted to the hospital and progressively went down hill. On July 4, he experienced a massive heart episode and died on the evening of July 5. At his request he was cremated and will have his ashes interred in the Otter Creek Church Cemetery in Iowa County, Wisconsin.

Ellen Stewart (Maxwell), 75 -of Bonita Springs, Florida and EHT, NJ passed away on September 23, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Linwood, NJ surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Ellen was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Eleanor Maxwell and brother Charles “Bubby” Maxwell . She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, David R. Stewart ; her daughters, Tracey Miller Geary (Joseph) of Linwood, NJ and Tamara Miller Lamb (John) of Egg Harbor Township, NJ , stepson Chris Morgan (Shannon),GA; grandchildren Samantha Lamb, Jake Geary, Natalie Geary , Jonathan Lamb, Alexa Morgan and Reese Morgan; siblings, Doris Liekfet (Fred), MD; Arthur Maxwell (Dee), Absecon, NJ; Lewis Maxwell (Nancy), Mays Landing, NJ; Deborah Cavileer (Benjamin), VA, sister in law Nancy Maxwell, Laureldale, NJ; best friends Charlotte Price and Sandy Hesser, and many nieces and nephews. Ellen was a 1957 graduate of Pleasantville High School and worked as an office manager for many years before securing her real estate license in 1972. She founded SANDELL Relators with Sandy Hesser and they went on to win numerous multi-million dollar sales awards throughout NJ. Known for her extraordinary kindness, her 24/7 dependability and her work ethic, she would go out of her way to help people secure their special home. A lifelong champion of women’s rights, Ellen was generous and outgoing, helping start the first Brownie and Girl Scout Troops in EHT, The AC Knitting Club that made items for area hospital patients, as well as working for many cancer support groups. She loved traveling, entertaining, knitting, reading and mahjong; but was most passionate about her grandchildren. “Mom Mom’s” verbal encouragements, sharing of a good book , New Year’s Eve celebrations, Spring Breaks, Video Gaming, and Miss America Contests will be sadly missed. Carolyn S. Renart, 63, of Egg Harbor Township, was called home by her God on September 22, 2014 after a long illness. She leaves behind her three children: John W. Renart III (Christina), Rebecca A. Kadrmas (Ben) and Kimberley S. Wade (John); eight grandchildren: Michael, Brandon, Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Jayden, Gavin, and Samantha. Carol loved and adored her family more than words can say. They were her reason for living and every day she had with them was a blessing. She is also survived by her brothers Manus Heath, Jr. (Cindy), Michael Heath, and Charles Heath (Lori); sister Linda Heath (Bill) and many loving nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her dear friends Loretta Mazzone, Jimmy Fadigan and Evelina Spell. Carol is predeceased by her loving parents Mary and Manus Heath, Sr. There will be a graveside service at Laurel Memorial Park Cemetery in Egg Harbor Township on Friday, October 3rd at 1:00 PM. Roseanne Emper, 77, a lifelong resident of Mays Landing, passed away on October 5, 2014 at her home. Roseanne worked at the Atlantic County Library for 42 years until her retirement in 1999. She was a devoted member of St. Vincent De Paul Church. Roseanne loved spending time with her family and friends. Roseanne is survived by her sister, Maryjane Karpinski, her brother Frank Emper (Evelyn Cordery), her two nieces Terry Egan and Kathleen Richard (Keith), her three nephews, Frank Emper, Robert Karpinski (Dalva) and Gregory Karpinski, and 9 great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Bessie, her sister-in-law Norma Emper, and brother-in-law Matthew Karpinski. Kerrylynn Pennino went home to be with The Lord on Saturday October 4th 2014. She had a zest for life and a great love for her family, friends, and even people who she had just met. Stephen (Misfit 1%) Wittenwiler. of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ passed away after a brief illness on September 30, 2014.Steve was born on February 4, 1958 in Darby, PA. He grew up in Linwood, NJ and was a graduate of Mainland High School as well as the school of hard knocks. Stevie was a member of local 322 plumbers/pipe fitters union for the past 20 years and owned Witts plumbing & heating for many years before joining the union. Big Stevie loved to fish and ride his Harley Davidson motorcycles which he did all over the east coast to hang out and party with his Pagan brothers and others. Big Stevie was the founder and 1st president of the Tribe Motorcycle club in South Jersey and then became a proud and very active member of the Pagan’s Motorcycle club in the Atlantic county area for the past 12 years. Big Stevie is survived by his wife Lori, son, Little Stevie (aka) Billboard, Billboard’s mother Lynn Wittenwiler, Sisters Gina and Cassie and Brother Donnie and his faithful companion Gunnar, Susie the horse and countless family and friends from up and down the entire East Coast. Big Stevie was predeceased by his Mother Katherine and Brother Jack, Father Jack Sr. and his best girl Brandy Lynn. Patricia E. Lomangino, 69, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, October 9, 2014. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late James P. and Josephine Gallagher on November 19, 1944. She was predeceased by her loving sister, Josephine (Henderson) Blood and great nephew Stephen. She was a graduate of Ocean City High School and went on to marry her loving husband of 50 years, Frank Lomangino Sr.. They began their married life together in Northfield NJ, then eventually went on to raise their family in Mays Landing NJ. Pat worked for Atlantic County Special Services School District until she retired in 1995 and was passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Pat is survived by her husband, Frank E. Lomangino, Sr, ; her son Frank E. Lomangino, Jr., his wife Lina; her daughter, Dawne Lomangino-DiMauro, her husband Bruce; Christopher Carey, who she considered as one of her own and his wife Mary; and the most precious in her eyes, Mom-Moms grandchildren; Kyle, Christopher, Brianna, Ryan, Lizzy, Catie and Bella. Pat also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
