Peter Frank Killian, Jr., 52, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 13, 2012. He was born and raised in Mays Landing and attended Oakcrest High School class of 1978. He lived in Elwood for several years where he was the owner/operator of Pete The Sweep chimney services. Pete was also active in the local government, he umpired for the Little League, he was a member of the Elwood Volunteer Fire Department, and purchased a van to help transport seniors and others in the community to church and other civic activities. In 2001, he moved back to Mays Landing, where he resided with his mother, after suffering from a permanent disability. He will always be remembered by his mother, Cynthia Kay Killian, his three children, Elizabeth, David and Christopher (Tina), his two sisters, Kathleen Crozier and Sharon Whitcraft (David), his two grandchildren, Jason and Christopher, Jr., his two step-grandchildren, Tabitha and Daniel, Jr., along with numerous other relatives and friends. A celebration of Pete’s life will be shared on Saturday, November 17th, from 2-4pm, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, NJ, where services will be held at 4pm. Burial will be private.
