Robert “Greg” Wood

Robert G. Wood, “Greg”, 72, of Egg Harbor City, passed away on October 12, 2012.
He was born in Mays Landing, and raised in Camden. Greg was in the first graduating class of Bishop Eustace High School of Pennsauken in 1958. He received his engineering degree and worked for over 30 years for Atlantic Electric until his retirement in 1995, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
Greg was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. His family was most precious to him and loved spending time with them and friends, and always appreciated a good bonfire.
He was preceded in death by his mother Pauline Winner.
Greg will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his devoted wife of 18 years, Virginia “Ginny” Wood, his three children Gregory Wood (Michelle), Dawn Thiel, and Sherri Ferry (Joe), their mother Joyce Wood, three step-children Sandra Peace (Jim), Donna Litwin, Robert Trasferini (Karen), his sister Mary Colache (Anthony), his brother Stanley Winner (Pat), and his eight grandchildren; Gregory, Michael, April, Cybil, Amanda, Amy, Joseph, and Christina, four great-grandchildren; Olivia, Madelyn, Kiley, and Michael, his sister-in-law Jean Holshue his brother-in-law Bill Cook, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 18th, 11am, at St. Nicholas Church, 525 St. Louis Ave., Egg Harbor City, where a viewing will be held from 10am till the time of the Mass. Burial will be in Germania Cemetery.
