Audrey Frances Woods “Weseal”, was born in Henderson, NC on January 25, 1954 to the late Frank K. Woods and Cora Woods. The family moved to Jersey City, NJ in 1969 where she attended high school. She graduated from Ferris High School. After high school she worked for the Hudson County Welfare Department until she moved to Atlantic City with her mother. Audrey worked for Caesars and Sands and ended her casino career at Harrah’s Casino once she fell ill and was unable to work any longer. Audrey was known for being a second mother to her nieces and nephews. Audrey was a sharp-tongue person; she could cut you up with her words if she had to! But all in all, she was a very nice and sweet person, always willing to help others. Audrey fell asleep in death on September 4, 2014 from a long battle of her illness. Audrey had one brother, three sisters, and a niece to fall asleep in death before her. She is survived by three brothers: Frank C. Woods (Charlotte, NC), Joel E. Woods (Morrisville, NC), Christopher N. Woods (Atlanta, GA); four sisters: Ernestine Henry (Quincy, FL), Pamela Jackman (Jersey City, NJ), Victoria Negron (Mays Landing, NJ) and Sharon Bradley (Galloway, NJ); and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was truly loved and will never be forgotten. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014, 2 PM, at Inlet Towers, 220 New Hampshire Ave., Atlantic City, NJ 08401.
