RICHARD ECKARD – Passed away after a lengthy illness on March 26, 2013. Formally of Cinnaminson and Delran, New Jersey and Pasco, Washington. After his retirement, relocated to Mays Landing and then Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey where he resided at the time of his death. Born January 16, 1936, in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania. Son of the late Elizabeth and Homer Eckard. Preceded in death by his brother George Eckard, his sister Margaret Smith and brother James Eckard of Altoona, Pennsylvania. Survived by his loving wife Jeanette (Jeannie), his children Ginger Albrecht, Richard Eckard and wife Sharon, Danny Eckard and wife Traci, Susan Young and Donald Eckard and wife Meggan. Grandchildren Danielle Socha, Jennifer Seidenberg, James and Kerry Lickfield, Kristina and Loralee Albrecht, Sherry and Kimi Young, Hayden and Ryan Eckard. Great grandchildren Jamie Albrecht, Alexis and Roger Socha, and Michael Seidenberg. Brothers Edward and Thomas Eckard. Sister-in-law Marion Girard and brother-in-law Tom Girard, sister-in-law Jacqueline Morgenstern and Alma Eckard. Also survived by numerous wonderful friends. Richard will be sadly missed by all. Graduated from Girard College in Philadelphia, Pa. Earned his degree in Engineering. Worked for National Drying Machinery Company for 54 years. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Boakes Funeral Home 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ, where a viewing will be held from 12 Noon until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on Route 40 in Mays Landing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
