Joseph Perrotta

Joseph Perrotta, 83, of Mays Landing, passed away on December 10, 2012 at his home. Born and raised in New York City, he served in the US Army during the Korean War. Joe moved to Long Island, NY with his wife and family where he owned and operated several Ice Cream Parlors. He moved to the Oaks of Weymouth in 1985, and continued his passion for making ice cream and serving young and old in his “Happy Business”. Joe and his wife Rose also enjoyed working the snack bar at Lenape Park and he enjoyed shooting pool with the guys at the Oaks Clubhouse. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his wife of 56 years, Rose, his two children Steven Perrotta (Nydia) and Louise Marziliano (Paul), 3 grandchildren, Joseph, Steven, and Nichole, two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Tatiana, his sister, Rosemarie DePetris, his sister-in-law Marie Russo, his brother-in-law Matty Casamassina, and numerous other relatives and friends. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 14th, 11am, at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 5021 Old Harding Hwy (Rt. 40), Mays Landing, where a viewing will be held from 10am till the time of the mass. Burial will be in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery of Estell Manor.
