Albert C. Gross, 86, of Absecon, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 22, 2012. Born in Milburn, NJ, where he raised his family and later retired to the Shore in Eatontown. Al appreciated his wine and spirits, (which required his Gordons Gin), and enjoyed his strolls up and down the Asbury Park Boardwalk, where he met many friends along the way. His laid back, casual approach to life made him easy to talk to and even easier to love. He was predeceased by his wife of 24 years Elaine, his son Steven, and his brother Joseph. Al will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his daughter Lynne Monetti (Bill), his four grandchildren, Jason (Linda), Willy (April), Scott, and Lyndsey Monetti, his considered granddaughter Lainie Boyer (Damon), ten great-grandchildren; Billy, Matthew, Alyssa, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Ally, Alex, Jason, Christopher, and Cayla, numerous other relatives and friends, and the Residents of Woodland Condos who he befriended and will miss his daily walks and talks. A celebration of Al’s life will be shared on Saturday, December 1st, from 2-3:30pm, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, NJ, where reflections will be held at 3:30. A committal will be held on Monday December 3rd, at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ.
