John C. Moore, age 77, of Linwood, passed away on June 26, 2012.
He has been a resident of Linwood for 54 years. John attended Atlantic City Schools. He was a member of the Naval Reserve, Linwood Volunteer Fire Company, South Jersey Square Dancers, and a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
In his spare time he made picture puzzles , loved to fish, and watched Phillies and Eagles games.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lorraine; two daughters: Linda Bates (James) of Egg Harbor Township and Sharon Swain (Michael) of Mays Landing; granddaughters: Julie Halitzka (George) of Louisville, KY, Nicole Brownback (David) of Ridley Park, PA and Heather Swain of Mays Landing; grandson David Bates (Jennifer) of Abilene, TX; and two great-grandsons.
Services will be held on Monday, 11 AM, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where family and friends may gather from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Egg Harbor Township.
