Susan E. Barry-Wellington, 64, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 17, 2014. She was born in New York, NY to the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dwyer. Sue was a 1968 graduate of Paramus High School where she resided before moving to Mays Landing in 1981. She retired from Atlantic City Medical Center in 2005 after 23 years of service. Sue was an EMT for the past 17 years, and is a Life Member of the Twp. of Hamilton Rescue Squad. Throughout her life she was a proud and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also passionate about rescuing and caring for Greyhounds and her Irish Heritage. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 14 years, Gene Wellington Sr., her four children, Sean Barry (Kym), Brendan Barry (Maria), Shannon Goodwin, Tara Guerrier (Joe), her three step-sons, Gene Jr. (Stacey), Michael and Billy, her 11 adored grandchildren, Shane, Liam, Tristen, Christian, Justin, Megan, Marek, Bridget, Jack, Dylan and Blake, her 7 siblings, and numerous other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather and Celebrate Sue’s Life on Tuesday, April 22nd, from 6-9PM, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, 11AM, at the St. Vincent DePaul Church, 5021 Harding Hwy., Mays Landing, where friends may gather one hour prior to the mass. Burial will be in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery of Estell Manor.
