Joyce A. Revis – “Granny Grinch” – of Mays Landing, departed this world on February 25, 2014 at age 77. Joyce wore many hats in life including model, secretary, teacher, artist and mother. Her creative talent, love for all things “artsy-craftsy” and the unique work she left behind will be a large part of her lasting legacy. With a song for every occasion, “The Queen of the One-Worders” had the ability to make anything from nothing. Her intelligent sense of humor, sharp wit and generous nature touched all who met her. The love she had for birds, nature, science and history was inspiring to many and only eclipsed by her affection for cigarettes, coffee, wicker and Pikachu! Granny Grinch was predeceased by both parents, a niece & a nephew but is survived by her two “bratty kids”, the groundskeeper from Hogwarts, a gaggle of Grand-Grinchlets, four sisters and 22 nieces & nephews. She is deeply loved and will be sorely missed, until we see her again where the bunnies dance. A private service to honor a life well-grinched will be held March 14th.
