Barbara Jean Brighton-Mergliano 66, of Mays Landing passed away on January 25, 2013 from cancer. Born on August 29, 1946 in Atlantic City, NJ, the daughter of Thomas Brighton and Edith Shields. Barbara worked at Tropicana Casino and Resort as an Accounts Clerk, where she received the 25 Years Of Service Award. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul parish and Gildas Club of South Jersey. In her spare time she enjoyed trips to Boscov’s with her sister and playing Farmville. She is survived by her Husband, Rosario J. Mergliano, Daughter Denise McGee- Escribano (Irwin) of Atlantic City, Son Jerry McGee of Ocean City, Daughter in-law Nancy Eng (Richard) of Jackson Twp., Grandchildren Thomas, Jason and Kaitlyn Meredith of Atlantic City, Dominick James McGee of Jackson Twp., Great-Grandchildren Jason and Lillyanna Meredith of Atlantic City, Sister Carol Hepburn-Yozzo of New York and many Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. She is predeceased by her son Richard J. McGee of Jackson Twp. and her Mother Edith Shields. “I hope there’s a Boscov’s up there” Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life on Wednesday, January 30th, from 10-11 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5021 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, NJ 08330, where a mass of Christian burial will be held at 11am. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
