Clik here to view.Mrs. Irene M. Brown was born on November 15, 1929 to the late Sterling Brown and Hester Hill of Penns Grove, New Jersey. She received her education in the Penns Grove school system. Later in life she moved to Camden, New Jersey with her three children. She was preceded in death of her daughter Phyllis Brown. Irene accepted Christ into her life and served as a faithful member of the Faith Tabernacle Church of the Living God in Camden. She loved her church and sacrificed e to unto the Lord. She depended on God’s grace and mercy, which enabled her to endure her illness without complaining. Irene was employed at the Philadelphia Luggage Company for many years until her retirement. She married Marcelious Brantley on September 29,1997 and continued to reside in Camden. On December 18, 2012 God called Irene home, and she was ready and she will be missed. Irene leaves to cherish her sweet memories to her husband Marcelious Brantley; her children: Cynthia Armstrong, Frank Brown, seven grandchildren, and a host of great grand and great-great grandchildren. She also leaves her neices, nephews, cousins and friends. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 28, 1-2 PM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 2 PM.
